This corner terrace house was bought over by a couple with two kids with the intention of reconstructing it to meet their needs as a new household. Previously owned by a single lady, the new owners wanted a design that was adaptable and able to accommodate future growth and their aging parents.
This project is an exploration of the physical and conceptual reconciliation between the building’s relation to its oddly shaped site whilst the need to satisfy the client’s space requirements. On an urban level, the design explores the reconstructed building’s identity in a neighbourhood going through various transformation phases.
