Chestnut Avenue

The design of this 2.5 storey house with basement was inspired by the Bento Box featuring clean, simple lines, a compact plan and extremely functional programme. The site is relatively small and to maximise land use and allow for a sizeable garden, the swimming pool is placed at the roof level. The double-volume living room located centrally connects different parts of the house together, both visually and spatially. A 7.0m high full-glass facade brings the front garden with its tall Garcenias into the Living area. The attic is crowned with an origami roof form as an extension to the box-like structure of the house.
Completed in 2011. GFA 470.3m2
